When you compare paint quality between brands and grades within a brand, there IS a difference in performance, both in application and durability. Others, they’re within a shout (but can’t quite match). The other was largely commercial and new construction. It’s about $30 -35 a gallon. You can get Glidden, which is totally decent, for less than half the price. Price was a concern for both, but I was too young and dumb to worry too much because I wasn’t paying for it. More importantly, the quality of any brand of paint can vary greatly, depending on which of their product lines is used.
